Update

Whoah!
I haven't been on my own blog since May! What in the world have I been doing?

Well, I can't remember all the facts (that's probably why I should stay more on top of my blog so I don't forget things) so I will just give you a break down:

1. WE MOVED! We live in a cute little town home by Washington Walmart and I LOVE IT!
2. I have been working at Pier1 and I also love it! It is by far the most amazing job I have ever had.
3. Steven got a job! He has been working for a company that does lawns and landscaping. (Not Mexican style, just a good LDS family owned business:)
4. Our dog, Iver, is doing so well. He is so trained and we love him so much! He is one of my best friends!
5. uhhhmmmmm.... I can't think of any other big news..... So now some little news...

6. I just colored my hair! Well, my friend Sadie did it! She is awesome and I love her, too. Baha.
(pictures to come later)
7. We've made a new couple friend, Sadie and Quinn, and we're going to Disneyland October 16th if everything pans out!
8. I'm looking for a second job so if anyone knows anything....
9. Steve is getting SOOO tan! It's funny! He does look like a Mexican.
10. Everything is good and all is well!

I will try to be better about my Blog. I have just been super duper busy these last few months. But I will be good, don't you worry!

Love, Heather

Firepit

Last night Naomi, Devin, Steven and I went to go camping. We got all our stuff ready, drove out there.. and it was sooo windy. We decided to come home and make a fire in our back yard. So we did. It was awesome! And it is a pretty good fire pit, if I do say so myself. :) Roasted marshmallows, cooked hot dogs, and got to sleep in my own bed. Good thing we came home, though. Today we woke up and everything was wet! It rained all night here and was SO windy! But it was a good adventure and now we have a nice fire pit. :) YAY!

What's really on my mind

is this tray. I work at pier1 and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. I love it SO much! And all the fun things I can do with it. There are only like 15 left in the Western United States and I am determined to call this my own. I am trying to wait until I get my tax returns, but this is all I think about. I can't wait that long. I thought I knew what I was going to do with my front room when I got my own place, but I have changed my mind. This will be the inspiration for it. I know it looks kind of stupid in this picture, but it is beautiful.
That is all.
Heather.

Grandma

Steven keeps calling me a grandma. Just because I get heart burn from water (everyday) and have to watch what I eat. I also take 4 motrin when I have a headache. He thinks the food and candy I like is for "old people" and that I like grandma things. I like old, vintage things, kay? Steven! Don't hate me, deal? I have an old soul.

Also
: I just decided I want an oval wedding ring. Not square like everyone else, not round (well, maybe round), but oval. What I really want is my grandmas ring. Or great grandmas. Wouldn't that be awesome? I wish I was the only great grandchild sometime. But I am the oldest. Maybe I have a chance.

I also like old, antique .. well, everything. So sue me.

Addictions

I have found recently that I may be addicted to some things. I never thought this would happen to me. I haven't been addicted to anything in my life before, but the time has come. Here is a list of the random and senseless things I have found to be taking up the majority of my free time:

1. Modern Family.
One of the best, if not thee best show I have ever seen. If you haven't ever seen it, here is an episode: http://www.hulu.com/watch/118517/modern-family-not-in-my-house

2. Gossip Girls.
I never liked it until the last couple months. I am not sure why I like it, either. It is such a fake, unrealistic show. But I find it oddly interesting.

3. Facebook.
I don't even do anything exciting on there. But it keeps me updated on random things in peoples lives and for some reason I feel like I need to know these random things. Who knows.

4. Work.
I haven't worked in over a year then all of a sudden I got 2
great jobs. Pier1 and Planet Beach. I work 12 hour days sometimes between the both, then on my days off I consume my time with the things on this list. Blah.

5. Music.
When Stew and I first started dating I wasn't really a huge fan of his music. Don't get me wrong, I still love my little teenybop music they play on the radio, but the other day on my way to work I found myself saying to Steve, "Play something complex and heavy. I need something harder to listen to right now." I like his mellow music, too. Here are a couple bands has has introduced to me that I love:
Minus the Bear, Elliot Smith, Pinback, Bon Iver (the band/guy we named our dog after), Misery Signals, Poison the Well, Hot Cross, The Chariot, Band of Horses, Genghis Tron, Russian Circles, Mogwai, and probably a few more I can't remember. But I feel like the music we listen to makes us closer. Music is Stevens life, if you didn't know that already.

6. Firefox Window Shopping.
I can't buy anything, yet. But looking for furniture and things of that nature makes me feel like I am accomplishing something. Who knows why.

7. Sleeping.
I sleep too much. And just a word to the wise: Never take 2 Unisom. No matter how much you think you need it. I slept for an entire night and day. Not good.

8. Movies.
Steven and I download a new movie (if not 4 or 5) every single day. Just today alone we watched The Fourth Kind and started to watch Planet 51. :) I love movie time.

9. Candy.
After reading this list then adding candy to it, I realize that I am going to get chubby. Soon. If I don't change my ways. I haven't ever been a big fan of candy or chocolate. But all of a sudden I am.

10. Last, but not least, Pickles.
I love love love pickles and the juice. We got online the other night to see if we could buy just pickle juice. You can, but it is expensive. Lame.

So if you read this, I am sorry to waist your time.
But thank you. :)
I need to get new addictions. I will let you know when I change it up. :)

New Hobbies...

So these past few weeks Steven has been teaching me to do something I would of never done otherwise. He has taught me how to longboard. I think the correct words to use in that sentence would be is teaching because I am terrible.

But the only problem is we only have 1 board. So Steven walks Iver while I practice and I feel awful using it when he doesn't have one. te he. I am waiting to get one, they are not that expensive, but they are more money than I have.

I am waiting on my tax returns (they are being sent back to me tomorrow) to buy one. :)
So if I don't blog or get on Facebook soon, it is because I have died.

So there is just that heads up. Let me know if you have an extra longboard and want to go with me. haha. Because I am going to want to use it. OR tell me if you want to longboard when I get one, because I need boarding friends. :)

That's all, folks.
-Heather

Stevens actual board. I am jealous of him. ha

Easter

This year was the first Easter Stew and I have spent together. :) We didn't do anything too exciting, though. We went to Steve's parents house at around 2, watched conference, and filled eggs with candy. His nephew, nieces, and cousins came and did an egg hunt, we had dinner, and just hung out. :)
We don't have kids so we didn't make too big of a deal of Easter, but we played with Iver. Tehe. He is our little kidders. But Kristi (Steven's mom) gave us an Easter basket full of candy and a movie! :)
Nothing too exciting on this post, I just want to remember our first Easter together! Pictures will be up later! :)

April Fools

Today I tried to be sneaky. Steven tried to pour a cup of freezing cold water on me this morning then said "April Fools". Steve, this is not a joke. It really happened. You cannot say "just kidding" after something like that. So I decided to get him back. First I got a pill to change his urin red. Yes, oldest trick in the book. But I was so excited. I put it in his coke, thinking it would just desolve and he could drink it, and it turned it red. I got caught. Then I thought I needed to be a little more cleaver. So I posted adds on KSL for random things he was selling. He got texts and phone calls all day for random things. He was so confused at first but I finally told him. I could only pretend to laugh at Chelsea Handler for so long. :) He is still a little bitter twards me, but he will get over it. I also did something stupid to my computer and it crashed. I said "April Fools" and he got to reformat it for me! Yay! I love it now. He didn't get to pull any more pranks on me, but all I know is I better not be with him next year. I know he is smarter with pranks than me. We have a lot of fun together on random holidays, though. Just because I haven't blogged in so long I will post a picture from St. Patricks day. :)

So cute. I love Steven. His tie and hat made my year. :)

Iver Games.

Steven and I may have a problem.
We LOVE to tease Iver. We feed him food we know he won't like, tickle his feet when he is sleeping and dress him up. He doesn't like any of it too much, but the clothes? Well, he doesn't even notice they are on (Except the sweater. He kept slipping on the tile. So funny). Here are some pictures we took. It was hard to get him to stay still.
We tried the hoodie on first, He didn't mind it too much, but it was hard to get a good picture so we got a video.

See his awesome hops? He does that everyday. It is the cutest thing ever. Here he is in a tshirt. Mwahah. He left it on forever. Finally we HAD to take it off him.
So cute.

It's been too long.

I haven't blogged in a very long time. Not since I decided to redo my front room (which still hasn't happened). So I got another job, or two. One: I got a job at Pier1. I figured I could work there and it would make redoing my house a little less expensive. But I am excited to work there regardless of the discounts. :) Two: Another job at Planet Beach so I can look good for the summer (joking, kinda;)), also that is where I will make most my money.
Steven and I are doing well, he is a gaming fool. ;) Don't tell him I said it on here. Mwhaha. Except I think it may be rubbing off on me a little, this week we beat Gears of War: 2 (and it was fun).
Iver is getting bigger, he is getting to be a bigger pain as well.

I'm excited we're staying busy and having fun.
I will try and blog more, I have lots of exciting stories..
I just need to remember to do it.
Thanks for reading this boring post!

Iver and Dad

Iver is getting so big. He is getting the funniest personality and I can't wait to see how it gets even in the next little bit. But I think he has decided that Steven is his favorite. He follows him everywhere like a little shadow. :) Where Steve goes, Iver goes. He is like a little boy trying to be like his dad. It is the cutest thing ever.
Here is Iver snuggled up to dad for his nap time. He arms are all wrapped around him and his head always has to be on him.Dad with his two favorite dogs. Iver and Hindy.
He is getting so big. He is my favorite. He is also learning so fun new tricks. This is one of his latest. Not my favorite trick and kinda grosses me out.

Teaching Iver fetch. We couldn't find a smaller ball. LOL. And it is like the same size as him.
He is getting it down, but we still need a little work.
We love him soo much. We are thinking about getting him a friend. He is a spoiled little dog. :)

New Furniture.

I need a change.
I HATE HATE HATE my front room right now.
And I have decided I know what needs to be done.
I need a new living room.

There are only a few things holding me back:

1. My roommate has a dog. I have a dog, but I can get mad at my own dog for getting on MY couch. I can't get mad at her dog.

2. I haven't started a job yet therefore I have a tiny lack of money.

3.I have never bought my own furniture (new) and I am kind of scared I will like it in the store then hate it when I get it. I am good at that. So Haley, I will need you're help with that.

Until I make some money all I have is aimless web surfing. Here are somethings I have found I like. Tell me what you think.

I like this couch.
It is very neutral and I could do anything with it.
I really like the colors they have in this photo, though.
(I'm not too good at making decisions like that.
Haley. You will also need to help me with this.)
The only reason I want to find a different couch is because this one looks a lot like Haleys.
Probably why I like it.
But Haley's couch is also a lot nicer.

Next, I want a coffee table like this.
Simple. But I can't seem to find one I like.
I also want an entertainment center.
I was thinking about just a TV stand,
but it doesn't seem realistic.
We have 2 xboxs, like 100 movies, and all kinds of stuff like that.
So if you see one you think I might like.. let me know! : )

This is my hope.
It won't cost me very much.
So hopefully it will be real in less time than I think.
Cross your fingers for me.

Love, Heather and Steven

Part of me.

I have been thinking about why I blog. I haven't been very good at it and I didn't really get the point of it until today sometime. I like looking back and seeing what has happened, when it happened, and how I was feeling. I love that I can get on friends blogs and see what is going on in their lives. I also love that when I have nothing to do I can get on here, type whatever I want, and delete it later if I poured too much out. I think I want to make this blogging thing part of my everyday life. Make it a habit instead of a chore. I want to make it part of my everyday life and maybe have it printed when I am older for my kids to read. Plus this is way easier (and a lot more fun) then trying to write in a journal. So I have made up my mind. Blogging is now part of my life. :) And the journey begins..

Unexpected cravings.

As summer approaches I thought it might be a good idea to drop a few lbs now and not put it off til the very last moment (as I am good at that). The last few weeks I have been eating smaller and healthier meals. I have been doing great! I haven't even wanted sweets or more food. I lost 7-10 pounds in the last week or so and I plan to keep going. But last night something weird happened. I was watching some shows with Steven and I got a random craving. Tuna sandwich. I thought, "Okay. I haven't eaten bad for a while. I deserve this." So off to the kitchen I go to make my sandwich. I finished it in a timely manner. haha. Then I thought, "I need a pickle." So off to the kitchen I go again. Not even 10 minutes after I ate my pickle I wanted pancakes. Pancakes of all things!! I ignored that craving and thought about whatever I could to get my mind off of it. As my mind wondered I thought, "hey! I need something sweet! Something really sweet! I want fruity tootsie rolls!" Steven thought I was sick or something. Dispite everything I ate last night I never felt full. Blah. And tonight I gave into my pancake craving (even though I had one 1/4 the size of a regular one), and now it is out of my mind. I hope this doesn't go on. I need to be skinny again! And these random cravings are NOT helping me. So cheer me on, give me advice. I need all I can get. Otherwise, Sexy one-piece, here I come. :)
- I was typing this post while Steven was on his computer and he comes over and says, "What is this about?" I told him and he says, "It isn't about me and you?" I told him the whole blog was about us. He said, "Everything. Everything is about me and you. Now you put me in that post. I am broken." hahahahah. He is so adorable sometimes!

I was sick today..

I was in the bathroom being sick when my wonderful boyfriend became concerned. He slipped a note under the door that said "Feel Better Soon.
Love, Steve"

Sooo adorable. He makes me so happy. And the funny thing is, is that this note really made me feel so much better.
I am blessed to have an amazing person like him in my life.
He did it to make you smile and laugh.
He is very good at that.
Steven is perfect for me.

Working Woman.

Today is a good day. I got a job! I am so excited! :) (Steven is probably more excited. ;) ) I went into my interview and the lady interviewing me was so cute! Made me very excited to work there. But at the end of the interview she told me she would call me tonight and tell me what her decision was (because she had interviewed lots of people) and I said "What do you think my chances are?" And she looked at me, laughed because I asked that, then said "How about I just offer you the job now?" YAY! I loved it! They have some very cute purses and I already found a pair of boots. I have my eye on them. So I am pretty excited. But I should be excited. I haven't worked (really) for almost a year. LAZY. Anyways. I just wanted to be excited on my blog! YAY!
Well, going to sleep.. Night night.

It's raining,

It's pouring!
Our fun day together:
This last week has been a busy one. I have been looking for a job (semi successful), I organized and dejunked my whole room, ;) and Steven has had a really good week with work so today we decided to stay in (sorta). I got up, got ready, we went to the Olive Garden for salad.. then came home and got in our jams and have been playing Mario Kart ever since. Steven isn't a very fun person to play ANYTHING with. If he can't cheat and win, he gets mad and quits. ;) I lost every time and it was fun for him.. then I started winning. Lol.

Now the fun is over and I am blogging. Mwahaha. I love rainy days like this when you don't have to do anything. Makes me happy. And overcast is my favorite! Now I am going to take a nap and hope that one of the places I applied to call me back. : ) Wish me luck!

This Year..

I decided to make resolutions that we're well within reach. Usually I set goals that are way too high and I usually don't keep them. I guess one of my resolutions to put down should of been to keep my resolutions. ;) We'll see what happens.

Friday, January 15, 2010

Dear Steven,

Thank you for a great night tonight. Even though we left Iver alone for 2 or 3 hours (first time ever) I had a good time with you and you're family at the Olive Garden. : )Tonight can we just stay in and watch EVERY Office episode? You know how much I love it.
And now that Iver is asleep and happy to be with us again, we can cuddle.
I love you so much and thank you for everything you do for me. You're the best friend I could ever ask for.

Love, Heather

Christmas...

This last year Steven and I spent our first Christmas together at my parents house. We spent Christmas Eve with both our families and it was kind of hard. Trial and error. ha. But for the most part it was great! We got to spend Christmas with all my brothers and sisters and it will probably be the last time it ever happens. : ( I am just glad Steven got to spend it with us. Steven got a 40" LCD tv, and I got a new bedroom set! : ) Steven got me a puppy and I got him an xbox 360! I would say we had a pretty good Christmas! Can't wait to do it again next year. I'm sorry I don't have more pictures.. I will put them up as I gather them from family! : )
Christmas Eve in our footie pajamas and the boys got regular jams.. and then Christmas morning before it got crazy messy! : )

Love, Steven and Heather

oLd neWs..

Well.. I have been busy doing a lot of things and trying to figure out this whole blogging thing. While I was doing that.. I realized I am behind about a dozen posts. I keep putting it off and the more I put it off the more I fall behind. Sooo what I am gunna do is give you a run through of the last few months and hopefully I will start posting more often.

Ready... Get Set... Go!

Birthday.
November 10th was my 21st birthday! Woot! ha. We had dinner and cake at Steven grandparents house first. It was also his grandpa Broadhead's birthday. Quickly after Steven took me to Mesquite and taught me how to play 5 card stud (I think that is what its called). It was amazing. I couldn't of asked for a better birthday then to be with my best friend in the entire world. :)

Thanksgiving.
Stevens whole family came down for thanksgiving, as most families do. We had a lot of fun playing with cousins and nieces and his nephew. We went to Switchback in Zion for dinner. We we're pretty excited about it.. but Steven and I were let down with the food. Sad face. But the company was great and that is all that matters. : )

Visit Home.
Shortly after thanksgiving I decided to go spend the weekend with my mother, Corey, and my 2 amazing sisters and brother. I had so much fun! Even though we really didn't do anything. BUT I gave my mom a shot for my very first time. Kinda freaked me out.. not gonna lie. (Mom, if you read this, I can do it again and better this time! I have been practicing on Iver;) It was a weekend away from Steven.. Literally the most time we have been apart in almost a year. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.. I guess. Lol.

Iver.
December 23ed Steven and I got an awesome gift for each other. We bought ourselves a puppy!!
He is a Silver Weimaraner, about 11 weeks old now. He is adorable. I will have more recent pictures up soon! And I will talk more about him in a later post, I am sure. ; )

And there you have it! Thee quickest rundown I could think of. I will have pictures up of Christmas and New Years shortly! : )

Love, Heather & Steve
